Acknowledged for its reputation, Malefycia verse 5 is an extraordinary sensory experience created by Mathieu aka Cass and his partner Dominique, who make a magical duo. For the fifth year, they plunge us into the world of Disney. From room to room, the chosen themes are very well represented. It’s easy to see which universe we’re dealing with. What can we say about the characters, each more magnificent than the last, with make-up by the talented Mary Jane Khalife? Her visual effects are totally breathtaking.

Sometimes, the subjects can be tricky, but we know very well that to make Malefycia we have to be open-minded and take it with a touch of humor. Year after year, the organization pushes the limits of the impossible to the delight of those present.

There’s a new feature this year. Visitors have the option of choosing the regular route or, for an extra $10, having two choices: the safer white stripe or the eye-popping red stripe. It’s money well spent, believe me.

Whether as a couple or with friends, this is a must-do Halloween activity. I advise you to buy your tickets in advance on their website and to arrive a little early, as there is a bit of a wait. I assure you, it goes by very quickly. As soon as you arrive, you’re offered a free checkroom to put your coat in, and then you’re required to wear some kind of jacket over your clothes, because you won’t get out of there the way you came in. If you like to challenge yourself, this is the activity for you.
